July 7, 2026 — avatars, sparkle, party looks
- New avatars: pick a look from the default pack and ring it with a decorative frame. The Pioneer frames are reserved for our founding members.
- The Home wordmark now catches a little sparkle each day.
- Give any party your own icon and colour theme, just for you, without changing what everyone else sees.
July 6, 2026 — party icons + head-to-head polish
- Give your party a face: pick from 48 icons, each tinted to your party’s colour.
- Head-to-heads now crown the day’s winner in green, with the game name up top where you can actually find it.
- Comparing yourself with someone shows an overall win-loss record, colour-coded so you can see who’s ahead at a glance.
- “Spoiler Mode” is now “Hide spoilers” — same setting, plainer name.
July 2, 2026 — July 4th Easter egg
- Something festive may turn up on the Fourth of July. We won’t spoil it.
- Head-to-head on timed games now settles by your actual time, so genuinely faster runs stop landing as ties.
July 2, 2026 — spoiler threads + People refresh
- Spoiler comments in party chat now say which puzzle they’re about, and tapping today’s opens a tidy Game Activity view with everyone’s results and chatter for that game.
- The People tab refreshes when you open it or return from a chat, so unread counts stop clinging to the past.
June 30, 2026 — home hero + streaks
- Your home hero now counts only party puzzles; outside games ride along as violet pills at the tail of the bar.
- Tap any streak flame for a plain note on what it counts, and see your per-game streak when you open a feed result.
- Pips stats gain a time histogram, Failed row included.
- New Direct Messages notification toggle in settings.
- Spoilers wear a calmer lavender; party chat headers gain a Scoreboard glyph.
June 27, 2026 — Direct Messages + People
- Direct messages are here: start a 1:1 chat from the new People tab, mute or block anyone tiresome, and tap a message notification to jump straight to the thread.
- People tab: tap a name to message, or the scoreboard icon for your head-to-head record.
- Browse your game history, per-game standings, and head-to-head matchups, now with real results instead of percentages.
- Crossclimb shares in the newer format now parse cleanly.
June 21, 2026 — Failed results, recognized
- A failed Pinpoint now counts. Paste the “X/5” share and it records as a miss instead of getting turned away at the door.
- Owning up to a timed LinkedIn game you didn’t finish (Queens, Zip, Tango, and company) now shows as a Failed tally in your stats, instead of being politely forgotten.
June 20, 2026 — Word Search + Help/Stats
- Word Search arrives: solve the Daily Mini or the bigger Daily Max, share your time, and race the leaderboard.
- Help and Support now have their own spots under your avatar, with a browsable Help guide.
- Stats solve-time charts read in minutes and seconds instead of a wall of raw seconds.
- Your Stats Games tab sorts by what you actually play and tucks away the ones you don’t.
June 17, 2026 — game stats fixes
- The Waffle, Number Waffle, and Stackdown stats screens are back from the blank-grey void — star breakdown, history, and a count of the ones you didn’t finish.
- Stackdown now charts your solve times alongside the stars.
- Strands stats no longer go blank when you’ve never needed a hint.
- Dialed Daily shows your average on the real 0–50 scale, not a baffling percentage.
June 16, 2026 — NYT Pips
- NYT Pips joins the lineup. Share your daily Pips result — Easy, Medium, or Hard — and it scores right alongside everything else, cookies and all.
June 15, 2026 — Wend/Patches + home fixes
- Two new LinkedIn games join the lineup: Wend and Patches. Share away.
- Zip scores now line up with everyone else’s instead of marching to their own drum.
- Change a party’s games and the home screen keeps up, no relaunch required.
- Your profile picture shows up as your face again, not your initials.
June 13, 2026 — LinkedIn parsing + Home links
- Sharing your Zip, Tango, Queens, or Pinpoint results from LinkedIn now actually registers — the share sheet and the app finally speak the same language.
- The Home screen Play button reliably sends you to the right game.
- Pinpoint manual entry no longer miscounts a puzzle you never solved.
June 12, 2026 — five LinkedIn games
- Five new LinkedIn games join the party: Mini Sudoku, Tango, Crossclimb, Pinpoint, and Zip. Share your results or enter them by hand.
- Zip counts your backtracks and uses them to settle ties between equal solve times. Flawless runs get their due in stats.
- Queens now refuses to be fooled by mangled share text.
June 11, 2026 — Queens, trends, fixes
- Queens joins the party: share your LinkedIn result and race your friends on solve time. Tap a result in chat to see exactly how fast (or flawless) someone was.
- Per-game stats now chart your guess and star trends, so your improvement is finally visible. Or undeniable.
- Late-night Mini solves now land on the printed puzzle date, not whatever midnight says.
- Assorted visual tidying on the Games tab.
